Famitsu, the most important Japanese console gaming magazine has released the FIRST scans of Ragnarok Online for Nintendo DS.

The release date is scheduled for December 18 of this year

Dunno, but maybe the 18 December is just for Japan, and some months after, it will be released is USA and EUR.

i wonder if the shaman and dark knight sprites could be ripped to implement in ragnarok, now the question... why arent these added into ragnarok online to? why just the DS

gameplay remains closely related to PC title
- offline story mode is main focus
- Play as Ares, a mild-mannered kid who wants to start up his own guild and be a great adventurer like his father
- recruit party members
- takes place in the realm of Rune Midgard
- build up characters to gain new jobs, skills
- mostly stylus control
- tap to pick up items, attack enemies
- draw circles and more for spells
- two brand-new jobs (Dark Knight can do special moves that drain HP, Shaman has various magic skills)
- Online play: three people team up to take on the Tower of Mirages, a 50 floor random dungeon
- December 18th release in Japan
- no US plans yet

That's still quite a long time to go, nice though.

Ragnarok Online DS does feature three-player parties over Wi-Fi in addition to a single player mode, and in our minds, that only extends the game's appeal. It's set for a debut in Japan in mid-December.

I like this idea. An offline version of Ragnarok Online, but portable. I could have some fun playing this.
Besides, on the offline version atleast you don't have the stupidity and ignorance of the other players.
I can assume then that as you level your character in the offline version, when you connect to the online version it retains your level (haven't had time to read the whole article)

Anyway, i'd buy this for my DS :-)

that new sprite near the swordman with deviruchi hat seems a lot like one of the 3-1 sprites.
The 3-1 evolution of "priest and high priest", because their clothes seem a lot like the one used by the priests in the Rachel Temple.

This is how Arch Bishop (3-1) is going to look, so that's not it.

Does anyone know any other news about the 3-1 classes, like when are they at least going to be added to sakray's GRF so we can start at least working on their palettes?

In this case it's not an MMO. I'd say it's more similar to the Mobile RO games, and maybe RBO (but obviously in normal RO style). It's a separate game.

If this came out in English I'd probably buy it....if it was normal price

But I must say the new sprite is ugly...I like the drawing for it...but the sprite looks like some anorexic woman...it's unfortunate...it doesn't look like we even get the chance to customize our characters.

I think they did all/most sprites thinner coz the screen is smaller xDD But yeah, that girl with a white dress looks anorexic :x They should have done her more fatty :/ I'm wondering if the maps are the same kind of maps that appears in RO, for example, does it have the walkable squares of GATs, oh wait, does it use gat O_o?

it doesn't seem a good game >o<, i think that the best of RO is the people and without people... Anyway, we will always have our beloved npcs xD

Well The Game Has Been Released its not in English But If You Go TO Goolge.com andtye RO DS Translation there is a site where you can download a translation in the making its about 50% done but you they give out patches every weeks with more stuff translated and as far as 3rd classes go there is alot of them out already ro-enhance.net has 5 of them
