Here are some points from the gravity Offline gathering/meeting. Because it wasn't specifically a Q & A session, its not arranged as such. During the meeting they discussed the intention of renewal, as well as discussed with players their concerns and suggestions about the new system. A brief summary of some things talked about are as follows:
- The intent of renewal is one of problem solving. It is directed at addressing accessability to new users and balancing of existing classes and skills.
- Because so many players are already at the existing level cap, the level cap is being extended (to 150).
- Change in attack formula that values stronger/newer weapons over low level weapons with many slots.
- Currently instant casting is destructive to game balance, which resulted in the addition of fixed casting. With equipment/items/skills, it can be possible to reduce the fixed cast portion of skills to 0.3~0.5 seconds, but there is no more instant casting.
- When partying you should always be able to get experience with those +/- 10 levels from you.
- Because of the problems with the attack speed formula, its going to be re-done. Level 99 and below characters have an aspd cap of 190, but it may be possible for level 100 and on characters to achieve up to 193 aspd.
- Sakray R's harsh experience table for 3rd jobs is just for testing, it will be changed.
- Rune Knights and Rogues will have attack speed improved.
- Monster and Level difference tables will be changed (in terms of exp/drops). Boss monsters will have their own experience and drop table based on difference in level.
- As for WoE system, they're still looking at balancing options.
- Monster AI will be updated to make monsters smarter and more interesting. Monsters will be more reactive to players, and some monsters will have unique behavior. For example, sohee is not bothered by the presence of female characters, but male characters that come too close may provoke an attack. Additionally, monsters may be able to patrol an area (or be fixed to a region), and return to their region if they wander too far.
- For ranking points, they plan on making it possible to lose (or use) ranking points, making it easier to complete for a rank.
- They are developing a system to improve questing in RO. NPCs involved in quests will appear on the minimap, and appear on screen with a green '?' or '!' mark.
Credits goes to doddler for translating and posting this info.
Now im wondering about this line right now...
- Because so many players are already at the existing level cap, the level cap is being extended (to 150).
From what I know. players who are a 1st or 2nd class, being base or trans go up to level 99, then must change to 3rd to beable to start leveling past 99. I did notace many players that were at level 99 waiting for the new job that goes after their 2nd job to come out. Now with this being said, I wonder if its now possiable to level past 99, even if your a novice, 1st class, 2nd class, any class. Getting the answer to that question is now on my list of critical questions.

Meh, only thing i find interesting in these points are the Monster AI thing and the ranking point thing.. Other than that, nothing interesting.
Thx for the update Rytech

Bishops on Unicorns and Assassins on Mares?...
Oh, yeah, quest marks! "Developing" a system, to "improve" quests, that all other games already have.
How about creating expansions to alternate worlds, expansions like WoW and FFXI have that people have to buy?
What? <.< Might as well go all out on everything that apparently "works".
Unique was RO until late 2005. Obviously these changes can't really surprise anyone. (Except maybe the first line of my post?)

We need more developments like these here. In this way I can transfer my lvl 80 warrior from wow to here.. lol..
(Yeah, I prefer the old system...Some changes are important, but the improvements not always as useful, or balanced, as they think. I also don't like copying from another mmo.)

Balance in WoE? As if, with the addition of classes even stronger than transcendants I'd say Gravity is slowly imbalancing everything. ASPD caps? Yeah, shit happens when you suddenly go max lvl 150, I'd expect 193 ASPD to be easily reachable for certain classes. This renewal has pretty much been bullshit.

level 150 cap for only 3rd classes? that means every class is useless in pvp/woe except for third classes. Ninjas/Teakwon/Gunslinger/Super novi

It's an ill-fated attempt at redoing the system for the better. I'm quite sure they know what the hell they'll do, but I guarantee it'll probably make RO like every other MMORPG, akin to the rest of renewal's updates.
They better do something about extended classes, though.

Yea I know the new system seems unballanced, but dont forget that its under development and testing right now. Im sure once its finished and added to the main server, itl be much better then it is right now. As for extended jobs, they allready tweaked the gunslinger/ninja jobs. If your thinking about the taekwon branch then I dont see much room for improvement since its perty much ballanced I think.
Allready its set to where you cant level past 99 until you change to a 3rd job, and then once you change you can go up to 150. Now seeing that the level cap MIGHT being raised in the future for 1st and 2nd jobs, it will hopefully be possiable in the future for all jobs to beable to reach 150. If this is true, then this will ballance taekwon branch in ways due to the fact that the damage ratio for some of their skills is controlled by your base level. Matter of fact, their damage will end up being perty strong.
Lets take my favorite job, the Soul Linker. The ratio for Esma starts at 40% and goes up by 1% for each job level. Currently from what I learned, in a server where the max base level being 99, the damage ratio for the skill can be as high as 139%. Now think about a level 150 soul linker. That will enable him to deal damage at a 190% ratio, nearly double the damage a regular bolt skill will beable to do. Along with fast cast times and a very low cooldown, itl be a nice skill to use.
Now wondering if their stats will beable to go up to 120...well...well have to wait and see. Their's something im keeping a eye on thats hinting me a little on their idea for the extended classes.
Now for a update on some info someone tried to translate through google.
- Dark Stalker will probably be first 3-2 to be released - Royal Guard will be focused on heavy defence, there is a mention of a trap and will ride a "griffon", a few other things but I can't decipher them - Shadow Chasers "Enhancing skills through graffiti", they mention various effects related to it but it's gibberish - something about movement, magic and SP - Shadow Chasers will have a "face paint" which will change... "neungryeokchi haeyong", whatever that is. I think they're also saying sprites will be released soon - Shura's skills seem to do more damage/effect based on enemy's inventory weight - Wanderer/Minstrel - sorry, can't understand a thing. I never cared about these classes though, someone who knows them might figure it out - Sorcerer seems to be a summoner and deals with the "other 5" magic types(I assume poison, ghost, etc.). No AoE skills - Geneticists will have a new homun(You can have only one homun at a time though), more plant skills, more throwing stuff at things skills(stat food?). Interesingly, they mention a Falcon, but I don't know if it's the Hunter's Falcon or some different falcon or what
Royal Guards rideing griffons??? Now were talking. ill be keeping my eyes pealed for more info on this. The next 2 weeks will be full of supprises.

Yey another "flying" class xD Sg was so lonely
Shadow Chasers seem interesting xD They write somewhere "gravity sucks" somewhere and get a speed boost to run away from nasty GMs? Hell yeah Face paint kinda makes me think of a spying skill, like infiltrating another guild ^^;;
Shura makes no sense -.-" I wanna know wth they are doing
Sorcerer makes sense, only damn aoe skills they have is thunder storm and heaven's drive, I hope they update the autocast to the new skills too ^^;
Yey for updates

"Enhancing skills through graffitti?" What the fuck is that supposed to mean? If they screw up my favourite class, I will never forgive them. I wonder if Gravity knows after five years that Flag Graffitti still doesn't work.
QUOTE

I don't mind this TOO much, as a sage's job is either dispelling/magnetic earth/bombarding the fuck out of people with double cast. But, it wouldn't hurt to have at least one new AOE for this new class. Of course, I don't want them to overtake wizard's job of AOEing the shit out of everyone, so it would be nice to make it that they have 3 AOEs - 1 from mage, 1 from sage, and then, a new one from sorcerer. Oh well.
The only problem I have with sorcerer skills regarding that translation is WTF @ "other 5 magic types". Surely Gravity realizes that Undead and Poison are the most useless elements, and seeing a Sorcerer deal holy damage is kind of 'wut' to me.

most likely they will announce it after 3rd classes got implemented and take another 2 years to devellop them (people love being in anticipation for new classes so it's a great marketing strategy)
they really should do something about the expanded classes their gears (atm they barely reach 12k hp in WoE )

Yet, on the developer interview, most answers were: "Oh...That...Hm...We will look at it" "We dont know about that" "We will be changing that somehow" "We have no plans on modifying that for now" Etc
They seem to have no clue of what they are doing to be honest. They are just adding more and more classes with skills to combo with old ones, but barely no mention about stuff broken for ages: Rogue Skills (as just mentioned above) Crafting (They say they will add new weapon types, but what about other lv3 that were added on those 5 years?) Many many 1-1,2-1,2-2 skills that are broken and they never touched it. And now with the level cap increased, who will be able to survive asura or AD with even higher base stats? They will need to fuck on a lot more skills than they "released" few months ago, just boosting underused skills wont do the trick.

There are a lot of reduction gears, to decrease the damage. If the base cap is set to 150 you can collect those items much easier. Don't forget that, this is a party/guild based game. Pneuma can block AD, you shouldn't be able to dodge everything. Also they can lower the damage if it isn't balanced. They never said that they won't change existing skills.
As I mentioned before, I prefer the old system than the new. But I'm glad, they make updates to Ragnarok, and not concentrate all of their energy to Ragnarok II.

I'd love to see a fem warlock ride a broom or a fem archbishop ride a poney 8D So unfair ;_; MADOLICENCE -> Mad licence? Can we do a wheelie in whatever they are intending on making their mounts? And i also agree completly on Brainstorm's post. They never really give a straight answer, they are so freakin oblivious of what they are doing -.-" Geez, I'm pretty sure if they hired some people around here they'd probably get a better job done and WAY faster... There must have been a typo. This is plainly a gimmick, and gimmicks are filed under the "taekwon" class. It's all right, man.
AS FOR EXTENDED CLASSES: Extended classes are a cleverly hidden message from Gravity. After spending years neglecting food, drink, and sleep, I have finally translated it. The message is as follows:
DEAR CONSUMERS WE ARE WORKING VERY HARD AND WE HAVE RELEASED THESE TWO CLASSES TO PROVE IT I MEAN WOW ARENT THEY COOL NINJAS AND GUNS HELLZ YEAH
Not content with the awful grammar and caps lock, I delved deeper:
Right, that should keep 'em quiet for a while.
This explains why they never did anything with them after they were released. Those wily little fellows kept it a secret from us all this time. Shocking!
For now, we can only speculate what gimmicks will be present in the 3-2 classes. I'm betting my left arm that generics will be able to summon swarms of magical pixies to do damage on their enemy based on what they had for breakfeast, and I know for a fact that Royal Guards will be forced to eschew the tired shields that made up the majority of their old skill trees, relying on these new-fangled spear skills.

And added on doddler's wiki today:
